The following were dealt with at Harrogate Magistrates Court on August 4:
Sean Lofthouse, 25, of 11 Frogmire Road, Knaresborough, was fined £150 for keeping a vehicle without a licence. He was ordered to pay vehicle excise duty of £72.50 and costs of £90. A previous conviction and sentence were set aside.
Glen Colin Prest, 40, of 103 Harewood Road, Harrogate, was given a 12-month conditional discharge for damaging a kitchen window belonging to a woman. He was ordered to pay compensation of £121.87, a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.
Jamie Thomas Baron, 24, of 25 Doublegates Green, Ripon, was fined £400 for driving without due care and attention on the A61 at Killinghall. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40 and costs of £185, and seven points were added to his licence.
Paul Dyson, 41, of 7 Hulme Road, Sale, was fined £375 for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence at St James Retail Park, Knaresborough. He was made subject to a two-year restraining order preventing him from contacting two women and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £37 and costs of £85. No separate penalty was imposed for damaging a Land Rover, but he was ordered to pay compensation of £200.
