Excitement is building among movie fans with only days to go to the launch of the first-ever Harrogate Film Festival.
This new event at a variety of Harrogate venues from the Everyman to the Crown Hotel involves more than just the screening of classic films such as gala opening Gravity and The Full Monty, it seeks to film-going into an adventure.
The event will go beyond the screen to provide innovative film-based experiences and educational experiences for film-makers as well as an opportunity to showcase their work, develop their skills and learn from experts.
Highlights include a screening of Shaun of the Dead inside the Hales Bar surrounding by real zombies, Night at the Museum inside Royal Pump Room Museum complete with period costumes, Toy Story at Ashville College’s new state of the art facility and Scarface inside a real bar - Revolucion de Cuba.
Running from March 3-5, the festival also includes events at Everyman cinema, the Crown Hotel and Harrogate Theatre Hive.
