Harrogate law firm Berwins is celebrating after raising more than £12,500 for Saint Michael’s Hospice over 12 months of fundraising.
The total is one of the highest ever raised for a single good cause by the firm and comes during the hospice’s 30th anniversary year.
Operations director Caroline Davison said Berwins was proud to have contributed towards the work Saint Michael’s staff and volunteers do to support families and individuals in the area.
She added: “As a firm, supporting our local community forms an integral part of our business and we’re thrilled this has resulted in such an impressive fundraising total.”
Berwins employees raised money through a series of challenges, tackling full and half-marathons, the Yorkshire Three Peaks, and the length of the Tour de Yorkshire route on static bikes. One even made a 15,000-foot skydive jump.
Tony Collins, chief executive of Saint Michael’s Hospice, said: “We are hugely grateful to the Berwins team for their sustained hard work and generosity as part of this fantastic partnership and their support as part of Saint Michael’s H30 initiative.
“£12,500 is a tremendous achievement and could enable 30 local people to receive a comprehensive package of care and support with an overnight stay at our hospice.”
