The body found in the River Calder on Friday, March 25, has been identified as missing Harrogate man George Bass
The body was pulled from the River Calder by the John Cotton's bedding factory on March 25 after being spotted by a passer-by at about 3pm.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
The 77-year-old was reported missing on Wednesday, March 2 but had been sighted a number of times on CCTV in the Leeds and York areas.
DI Bill Burns said: "Our thoughts are with George’s family and we are doing everything we can to support them at this sad time.
