So far Sian, who set up the artisan jewellery and accessories business Ella Georgia in 2003, has completed 32 races and run 240 miles, including 10 mile races, half marathons, the Spartan Warrior obstacle race and a 32 mile ultra marathon, with another 160 miles left to run until the end of March. ‘When I set myself the 10k challenge, I didn’t imagine that I’d actually end up running 400 miles!’ says Sian. ‘I’ve got my biggest challenge ahead of me though – a 55 mile ultra marathon race next month - but knowing it’s all for such a good cause spurs me on.’ Ella Georgia’s cake break, which is also supported nationally by Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, promises to be a really fun event, full of Yorkshire tea and delicious cakes, with a quiz and activities for the children.
