Your vote, your mayor, your York and North Yorkshire – make Harrogate’s voice heard

Harrogate voters are urged to have their say on who will be the county’s next Mayor.

Residents living in the Harrogate area will, together with the rest of North Yorkshire, go to the polls on Thursday 2 May to choose a mayor to lead the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.

Did you know there’s a 30 year devolution deal for York and North Yorkshire. This gives the Mayor £18m a year which can be invested to make a difference to our region.

What does the Mayor do?

The Mayor works alongside local elected leaders to attract greater investment to improve transport in the region and also to boost employment opportunities, unlock housing developments and develop training and skills for our workforce.

This election will choose a leader to be a strong voice for York and North Yorkshire and champion our region on the national and international stage.
