A Harrogate social club has donated £120 to Yorkshire Air Ambulance after raffling a bottle of whisky with a royal flavour.
St George’s Social Club, on St George’s Road, was presented with the special bottle of whisky – made to commemorate the visit of the King and Queen to Canada in 1939 – by one of its members.
The club decided the item was too good to put in one of its standard raffles, so help a separate event especially, with members deciding that the charity to benefit should be the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
