Harrogate Film Festival's exciting new partner - Northern Film School
The Harrogate Film Festival has hopes to become one of the country’s most exciting events on the festival circuit following continued success in its first three years.
An exciting line-up ranging from short film competitions to an evening with actor and presenter Brian Blessed has been released as part of the 2020 programme in March next year.

Hide AdNow, it has been unveiled that The Northern Film School will work closely with the festival to develop its educational and community engagement initiatives as a partner for the first time.
Annabelle Pangborn, Head of Subject, Northern Film School, said: “The Harrogate Film Festival has built a reputation for providing independent filmmakers with a platform to further their careers.
“This partnership was an exciting opportunity for us to showcase the talent here at the Northern Film School at Leeds Beckett University as we continue to help develop filmmakers of the future.
“Students looking to explore employment in film and screen will gain invaluable experience as a result of our fantastic collaboration.”

Hide AdThe partnership comes just as the university is nearing completion of a new £80 million-pound Leeds School of Arts development in the heart of the city.
Adam Chandler, managing director of Harrogate Film Festival, has spoken of his delight after agreeing a partnership to help develop educational elements of the event in collaboration with the university’s film school.
He said: “I’m delighted to have The Northern Film School partner with the festival and look forward to a long and successful relationship.

Harrogate Film Festival is this year expanding and will be held over 10 days across numerous different venues in the spa town.
An eagerly-anticipated part of the festival is the independent filmmaker’s competition which has seen more than 1,500 submissions from over 60 countries over the last three years.
