Deliveroo is an on-demand delivery service for high-quality restaurant meals. Customers can order from a variety of local restaurants, and the food is then delivered within about 30 minutes for a charge of £2.50.

Restaurants can take advantage of the company’s proprietary end-to-end technology and logistics platform to offer delivery for the first time without the hassle of running their own fleet of drivers. Some partner restaurants in York and Newcastle, where the service recently launched, have reported an increase of up to 30 per cent in revenues.

Caroline Hazlehurst, general manager of Deliveroo, said: “Harrogate has a thriving food culture, yet busy consumers are missing the opportunity to have good food delivered from the best restaurants to their homes and offices. With the launch of Deliveroo, they will be able to enjoy quality food delivered quickly and consistently, whether it’s burgers, healthy juices or pizza.”

Participating restaurants in Harrogate include Major Tom’s Social, Boss Burgers and The Yorkshire Meatball Company.
