Harrogate's new My Chef Skills gives every home cook the chance to learn from the professionals

Jonny's working life may have been devastated by the impact of the first lockdown as the Covid pandemic brought the arts and entertainments world to a sudden halt.

But the lay-off sparked an idea for a helpful and stylish offer for home cooks everywhere.

Johnny said: "All the work for my Music Agency (Jonny Ross Music) came to an abrupt stop, due to restrictions and I got really into cooking as a result.

"Whilst cooking shows are great they don't show you how to cook food to an expert level. I wanted to fill the gap in the market and started working on it last November. "

My Chef Skills is the result, giving people in their own kitchens the chance to cook along and transform themselves into a home cook who can deliver restaurant standard food.

Having spotted a gap in the market for shows which show you how to cook food to an expert level, Jonny has filmed a wide variety of master chefs doing a total of eight dishes each for My Chef Skills - including Matt Healey, Masterchef finalist and founder of Grön cafe in Harrogate and Leeds who right now is online talking everyone through his take on "Refined Fish & Chips".

But My Chef Skills is quickly building up a growing supply of cooking courses from genuine culinary masters.
