Drive to refresh firm’s showroom

After a particularly difficult year for businesses, a Knaresborough Volvo retailer has invested in a £1.5m showroom refurbishment.

Stoneacre Harrogate, in St James Retail Park, has recently reopened for car sales and services, as lockdown rules allow, as it undergoes a full refurbishment which is due to open in December.

Shaun Foweather, Managing Director at Stoneacre Motor Group, said: “We are delighted to unveil the first artist impressions of our new multi-million pound showroom, which has been months in the making.

“This has been a significant investment for us, but our refurbishment is about more than a change of furniture – it’s designed to create a space where our customers can feel relaxed and at ease in an environment that provides flexible waiting, working and assessment areas.

“The launch of our new Volvo Personal Service is already helping to better connect our MoT and service customers with their technicians for a smooth and efficient experience.

“Our focus is always on putting the customer first and giving them a high-quality service, which they know and trust.

“We’re looking forward to cutting the ribbon on our brand new showroom and can’t wait to welcome customers new and old to check out the space, and enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat with the team.”

The new space will feature a signature lounge area complete with Scandinavian-designed furniture, which will allow future visitors to relax in and enjoy Swedish cakes and coffee, or carry on working with free Wi-Fi.

Large exterior and interior glazing will allow customers to see all activity in the new workshops from what feels like the comfort of their living room.

The retailer has also pledged that no refreshments will be served using single-use plastics and these have been removed from the showroom completely.

As well as the refurbishment, the Knaresborough-based retailer has also expanded, with a larger showroom and a greater display of petrol, fully electric and hybrid cars, as well as Volvo Selekt Approved Used models on the forecourt.

It is aiming to halve service waiting times.
