Acceleris carried the torch for Harrogate, Yorkshire and the UK as it defended its title as Europe’s best communicator in the Issues and Reputation Management category at the European PR Excellence Awards.

Acceleris has now won the award for different campaigns for three clients within diverse sectors including maritime, and health and wellbeing. Alongside its triumph in Berlin, where it beat international giants including Lidl and IBM, it also won in Munich in 2013 and again in Stockholm in 2015.

This year, Acceleris was credited for its integrated campaign to launch Purple, the innovative disability employment agency which aims to help more than 20,000 disabled people find work and enables thousands of businesses to become Disability Confident.

Acceleris formally launched Purple with the opening of the London Stock Exchange in July with support from autistic actor and Holby city star Jules Robertson. Its ongoing work for the not-for-profit consultancy includes creating marketing collateral, website design, media relations, managing business events and generating direct new business opportunities.

Louise Vaughan, Acceleris’ managing director said: “To win three European Excellence Awards in such a short space of time shows we have the ability to produce some of the best campaigns in the continent.

“What began in 2013 as a celebration of our award-winning maritime communications now encompasses work we produce across the team within diverse sectors.
