Four in a Bed - Guesthouse flies flag for Knaresborough on Channel 4
We can't say how this local b&b did but word is Newton House on York Place did impress its rivals on this popular series broadcast on Channel 4 several times a week.
Owner, Denise Carter and her colleague Jackie Fennell, were both involved in filming and had the task of visiting and judging other B&Bs as part of the format for the show.

The programme’s format invites four sets of B&B owners to throw open their doors and take turns to stay with one another – and pay what they consider fair for their stay. The winner of the competition is the B&B that is judged to be the best value for money.
Denis said: “We are not allowed to say who won, as we are sworn to secrecy until the show is aired, but I can say that both Jackie and myself had great fun."
The result of Newton House's round of the competition will be revealed in Friday's programme on May 20.
