Broadway will be coming to Ripon in a concert given by students from London’s Royal College of Music and School of Musical Theatre.

On Saturday, February 18, a one-off musical showcase will be performed including music from long running shows such Les Miserables

Eight of the colleges’ students, along with young musical theatre professionals will entertain an audience at Holy Trinity Church with songs ranging from West Side Story to Sweeney Todd, together with a medley from Les Misérables, all under the direction of musical director and composer, Jude Obermuller.

The evening starts at 7pm with doors opening at 6.30pm, and will finish by 9.30pm.

Tickets are £10 for adults, £8 for over 60s and £5 for children under 18 or students.

The students are raising money for their own studies in London and also for the charity Life Association which works to house and educate street children in Mumbai.

RCM student and Old Riponian, Emily Jennings, who will be taking part said she was looking forward to perfroming in her home city.

“We’re thrilled to be coming to my home town to perform for a Ripon audience.”
