Fans of classical music are in for a real treat tonight, Friday August 21 when The Yorkshire Wind Orchestra present a special evening of music for small wind ensembles in the intimate setting of the Frazer Theatre.

The event is part of Knaresborough’s feva, an annual arts festival now in its 15th year.

To whet your appetite the groups playing in the concert will be a horn duo; sax quartet; wind quintet; flute quartet and wind trio and maybe more.

The horn duo - Mike Tupper and Geoff Bellamy - will be playing music by Rossini, Schubert, Mozart and Lowell Shaw.

The woodwind trio - Tristan Watson (clarinet), Rosie Pollock (oboe) and Emma Cordell (flute) will be playing music by Mozart, Albeniz and Holst. The Holst is particularly challenging because it’s written in three different keys simultaneously! You’ll all know the Mozart...

It is set be a spectacular evening, and tickets are available now from: http://feva.info/programme/view/6qCxa6Nu/yorkshire-winds-deconstructed
