This year’s Harrogate Beer Festival looks set to have the strongest live music line-up to date to complement the massive array of beers.

That’s no surprise bearing in mind the organiser of this popular annual charity event is Harrogate and District Round Table’s Rick Lawson, musician and owner of successful audio visual company FTAV.

The three-day festival of real ales, lager, cider and the odd glass of wine runs from on Thursday, February 28, running at the Crown Hotel until Saturday, March 2 with a range of music acts to suit all tastes from rock to soul.

For lovers of brass, the event is launched by The Harrogate Band before the live music start on two stages, electric and acoustic.

The former sees the following headliners in the Victoria suite - Thursday: MFOR. Friday: The Directors. Saturday: White Van Man.

Harrogate Beer Festival has linked up with successful local music promoters On’t Sofa for the acoustic stage in the Bronte Suite.

The line up is as follows: Thursday: Dan Burnett, Rob Reynolds, The Matt Goldberg Band. Friday: Feelix, Christina Miles, Yo Preston. Saturday: Aaron Bertenshaw, Lewis Fieldhouse, Rob Reynolds.

The charities set to benefit this year from the beer festival are Macmillan Cancer Support, Open Country, Henshaws Society for Blind People and Asthma Relief.

The doors open at 6.30pm with live music from 8pm.

The festival has its own Facebook page this year at www.facebook.com/#!/groups/189192236096/
