IT’S as much an annual institution in Harrogate as the flower show - well, almost.

Rock night Bottom of the Bottle’s Back to School Party this Sunday heralds a new year at school - and a good excuse for hard rock, school uniforms and hard liquor, not to forget a game of Pantera Pass The Parcel.

Day Old Hate are, reportedly, a classy ‘post hardcore’ band and are about to unleash their first demo. You can check them on Facebook at dayoldhateofficial The support acts from 8.30pm at Rehab bar include Silvertone (ex-Blaze Camero) and the intriguing tech/prog/Djent outfit Fragments.

AFTER great gigs recently featuring Bad Company’s Mick Ralphs and cult acoustic musician Michael Chapman, local promoters Kula have a trio of impressive names coming up at Frazer Theatre in Knaresborough.
