Britten concert at Knaresborough Trinity Church

Knaresborough Choral Society are presenting a very special Christmas Concert this year.

Taking place at Holy Trinity Church in Knaresborough on Saturday December 14, the event will celebrate the late Benjamin Britten’s centenary with a performance of Britten’s St Nicolas Cantata.

For this special evening, the Knaresborough singers with musical director Robert Marsh will also be joining forces with Skipton Camerata Chamber Orchestra, tenor soloist Paul Dutton, Harrogate Grammar School Chamber Choir and treble voices from St John’s Church Choir.

The concert , which begins at 7.30pm, will also include selected choral pieces and Christmas carols with a performance by concert organist Andrew Cantrillwho will be accompanied on the piano by Beryl Pankhurst and Pamela Jolly.

Tickets are available now from Castlegate Books in Knaresborough and from The Music House, Cheltenham Parade, Harrogate.

Some may be available on the door.
