Indie stars come out for Constellations Festival

AN adventurous indie event has announced more acts including 4AD’s electric rock duo The Big Pink.

Organised by Futuresound, Constellations Festival will present a whole day of live music, art and film at Leeds University on Saturday, November 12.

The full confirmed line-up is 02:54, The Antlers , The Big Pink, Big Deal, BRAIDS, Dutch Uncles, Double Muscle, Eagulls, EXITMUSIC, Fear Of Men, Gardens & Villa, Givers, Gross Magic, Hookworms, Islet, Outfit, Spector, Spectrals, Stalking Horse, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, Summercamp, Three Trapped Tigers, Vessels, Vondelpark, Wild Beasts, Yuck, Zulu Winter.

As well as the bands, the Exhibition Hall, a new concept for Constellations in 2011, will be providing a new home for the screen printing and the poster exhibition which proved so popular in 2010.

The hall will also host a range of new artworks, installation, and film, some of which are being commissioned especially for the event.

Warp Records will also be curating a special programme of moving image work to be shown in the freshly christened ‘pop up’ cinema.
