Former Ripon man debuts novel at city library

A former Ripon resident is about to launch his debut novel.

Colin M Morrison, who lived in the city for 25 years before moving to Northumberland will be back in Ripon to give a talk at Ripon Library on his newly published book, Fang.

Published by RedArrow Books, Fang is described as a blackly humorous tale.

It centres on a man, Ian Fang, who inherits his uncle’s home, Bleakhope House.

Bleakhope House is an ancestral dwelling with a brutal past from the days of the reivers.

His plans to renovate the building are put on hold as he promotes the idea of a business training programme with rival companies.

The talk takes place on Saturday, December 3 at 1.30pm in the library’s meeting room.

Tickets for the event, which cost £3 per person, are available from Ripon Library in advance.

Following the talk Mr Morrison will be signing copies of his book.
