DESPITE some bad weather there was a great turnout for the Plot to Plate event in Boroughbridge at the weekend.

The day, organised by Boroughbridge Allotment Society, took place on Saturday, April 21, and featured stalls selling produce, musicians from Boroughbridge High School, and morris dancing. There was also a competition in which more than 50 businesses created a scarecrow to form a trail around the town with entries judged by the public. The winner was Havenhands the Bakers with a window display of the Queen and a corgi.
