NEWBY HALL CC begin nets on Wednesday March 2 at Ripon Grammar School.

They will run for six weeks between 8-9pm.

After a difficult season which saw them relegated from the Nidderdale League top flight, the club are in buoyant mood and looking forward to the challenge of regaining Division One status.

The side will once again be led by Matt Uffindall, and has been boosted by the signing of Australian David Kelly.

“Last year was difficult, losing ten first team players all with league winners’ medals was a massive hole to fill by anyone’s standards,” said Uffindall.

“The table doesn’t lie, we were relegated althought throughout the season comments from other captains were unanimous: stick to it, you have a great set of young players.

“I’m fully behind them all.”
