A Northallerton fine food company was called on by tourism bosses to offer a taste of Yorkshire to a delegation from the world’s most famous cycle race.
Welcome To Yorkshire is spearheading a bid to host the opening stage of the Tour de France.
As part of a recent visit to the county by Tour de France organisers, Lewis & Cooper provided some of its Yorkshire Holiday Hampers to delegates to provide them with a flavour of Yorkshire.
Lewis & Cooper production director Victoria Howard said: “We were delighted to be approached to do our bit as part of its campaign to urge people to Back Le Bid.
Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “Our great county looked splendid.”
