RIPON Piscatorial Association held an Open match on Sunday, at the River Ure stream water section.
Even with additional water, 30 anglers took part and 19 weighed in.
Paul Bendelow of Woodlands finished as the winner, catching 18lbs 11oz including six chub on feedered steak.
Northallerton’s Chris Brown was second with 14lbs exactly, landing four chub, one on cheese and three on feeder steak.
Jim Taylor of RSPS took third place with 13lbs exactly, landing four chub, two on bombed bread and two on feeder.
Terry Morgan of Aireborough was fourth, catching 8lbs 14oz of three chub and two greyling on bread and caster.
Ripon Piscatorial Association’s Mark Foyle was fifth with 7lbs 1oz, netting two chub on cheese.
Joint sixth were Steve Newns of KL Tackle with 6lb 12oz of two chub on legered bread and Graham Skirrey of Maver Uk with 6lb 12oz with two chub on bread.
RPA’s next match takes place on Sunday January 22.
