HARROGATE Town drew nil-nil at home to Histon in the Blue Square Premier on Saturday.

Simon Weaver’s troops had more chance to score than their visitors, but could not make them count.

Histon meantime were lucky to leave with a point tucked under their belt.

Elswhere in Harrogate, Harrogate Railway were victorious at home to top ten side Salford City.

They finished the Evo-Stik First Division North contest with three valuable points from a 2-0 win.

Tadcaster Albion meanwhile foundered in their quest to go top of the NCEL Premier.

Paul Marshall’s men were unbeaten in 11 games and second in the table, but leaders Retford United held firm after winning the clash 3-0.

Albion were by far the better side in the first half but Retford held their nerve and it paid off.

Warren Hatfield’s goal and a brace by Carl Haslam were all netted in the second half.
