HARROGATE Town have re-signed Wetherby Road favourite Chib Chilaka ahead of Saturday’s Blue Square North fixture at home to Corby Town.

The talented forward has moved back up north after a short spell with Braintree Town in the Conference.

It’s the icing on the cake for boss Simon Weaver after a successful week on the pitch.

Town beat Hinckley United 2-1 on Saturday, and followed it with a 1-0 victory at Ossett Albion in the quarter-final of the County Cup on Tuesday night, Lee Elam scoring the only goal.

“Chib was a fans favourite, it’s great to have him back,” he said.

“He’s said he’s available on Saturday. It just gives us another option.”

Town fans will be looking forward to Chib’s return after making a mark during a loan spell from Bradford City last season.

The Wetherby Roaders now have a number of attacking options, with Paul Brayson and Johnny Allan leading the line well of late.
