Harrogate Town could play more games at grounds around the region after the heavy snow deteriorated the CNG Stadium’s.

Town’s game against FC Halifax Town was postponed on Saturday and yesterday’s trip to Solihull Moors was called off after a 1pm inspection.

Weaver’s side travel to Bradford Park Avenue this Saturday before they entertain Gainsborough Trinity on Easter Monday (3pm).

And the manager says the club are working hard to make sure the upcoming home games against Trinity, and the return clash against Moors on April 6, get the go-ahead.

Weaver said: “It is going to be a very congested time.

“I can’t see the league extending it unless it’s going to be another wipe out and it gets extreme.

“We want to play these games. We don’t want to have two weeks left and 10 games to play or something like that.

“We will be asking again at York to see what the situation is there.

“We will have to wait and see.

“They have been great to us this year and hopefully they will be able to get us out of the mire.”

The break from fixtures has allowed Paul Beesley more time to return to fitness and Jonny Allan is also back in the mix for selection.

However, League Two club Burton Albion have been monitoring in-form striker Dominic Knowles.

The hot-shot spent a few days on trial this week before the Football League’s free transfer deadline.

Weaver said he was looking at a few possible additions himself but he would only bring players in if the situation became drastic.
He said: “We have got a few names on the list that we could possibly get if I have to wheel and deal.

“There maybe one coming in but we are probably going to stick with what we have got.”

Town drew to both Trinity and Avenue 1-1 in August and Weaver expects two more tight encounters.

“I have enjoyed watching Bradford a few times this season,” he said.

“They are a good passing team.

“They were on top against us and then we changed it around and did very well.

“They have just lost their centre back James Knowles to Halifax but they have one of the strongest squads in the league.

“I thought they would be pushing for play-offs.

“Gainsborough are a big strong physical team but they have added footballers to it.

“They are probably one of the most experience teams in the league.
