Harrogate Railway manager Billy Miller insists his international stars and danger man Nathan Cartman can prove the difference in this week’s The Evo-Stik League Northern Premier - First Division North double header.

‘Rail travel to lowly Burscough on Saturday (kick-off 3pm) before hosting top-ten side Northwich Victoria on Monday (7.45pm) at Station View.

And, despite crashing out of the FA Trophy in a narrow 2-1 defeat at Wakefield last weekend, Miller believes his side, spurred on by influential Cartman, have what it takes to pick up at least three of the six points available.

He said: “Nathan is on form at the moment, and that is a massive positive for us.

“With him working hard and our players from around the world like Jesus and Fatlum Ibrahimi playing, we are not far away from getting the wins we need.”

‘Rail beat Burscough 1-0 last season. Miller said: “It’s a difficult tie, both sides will look and think they can get three points.

“We’ll see what happens then regroup before Monday. It’s a funny time of the season, two wins and you’re in the top half, but two losses can see you drop to bottom of the league.”

‘Rail have no injury concerns ahead of Saturday.
