Harrogate Town have snapped up former England youth player Tommy Wright to add fire-power to their attack.

The 28-year-old moves north from Conference side Tamworth.

He has made appearances for a host of clubs including Scottish Premier side Aberdeen and Leicester City.

Wright represented England U-19s and U-20.

The striker becomes boss Simon Weaver’s fourth addition of the summer transfer window after Craig Nelthorpe, Anton Brown and Chris Hall.

Weaver said his new forward would bring “experience and strength”.

“He is very aggressive, good into his body and like to attack the ball in the box,” said Weaver.

“We are delighted to have brought in another player that’s in demand. He’s very professional, lively and wants to win.”

The final league set-up for Conference North has also been decided, with three relegated Conference sides, AFC Telford, Barrow and Stockport County dropping down.

Hednesford, Leamington and North Ferriby are three more newcomers. Bishops Stortford have moved back to Conference South.
