Anton Brown scored a dramatic equaliser as Harrogate Town rescued a point against Colwyn Bay at the CNG Stadium.

Colwyn were on course for a third victory over Simon Weaver’s men this season until Brown pounced late on.

Chris Hall had earlier brought Town level for the first time after the home side fell behind early on.

Town also had a late goal disallowed before former Alfreton midfielder Brown struck.

The draw leaves Town fifth in the play-off race, as rivals Brackley Town lost 1-0 at Bradford Park Avenue and Boston United drew 4-4 at Barrow.

However, Yorkshire side Guiseley beat former league leaders North Ferriby United 1-0 and there were also wins for Altrincham, Solihull Moors and Hednesford.

Meanwhile, Harrogate Railway suffered a fifth defeat on the bounce as Billy Miller’s men lost 2-0 at Mossley in horrendous conditions.

A mix up between Dan Thirkell and goalkeeper Peter Crook allowed Richard Bennett to open the scoring.

Wayne Welbeck then added a second after Crook had initially pulled off a fine save in the move.

Knaresborough Town continued their revitalised run of form in NCEL Division One as they hammered Teversal 4-0.

Colin Heath and Blaine Hobson scored goals in the first half, before George Eustance and Dom Wilson completed the rout after the break.

In the West Yorkshire Premier, Bardsey took a step closer to retaining their title after holding rivals Leeds City to a 0-0 draw.

But Wetherby Athletic’s survival hopes suffered late agony against East End Park.

Athletic led 2-1 heading into the final moments, but Park equalised to keep Mark Forster’s men rooted to the bottom.

And their plight was not helped by lowly rivals Kippax, as they beat Shelley 4-0.

Boroughbridge continued their remarkable string of draws, as they drew 1-1 for the fifth successive match. Horbury Town scored a last minute equaliser to deny Daz Ekin’s men victory.

Ripon City were battered 6-0 at Oxenhope Recreation.
