Experienced Wetherby Athletic midfielder Brian Blewitt could miss a month of action after breaking his nose at the weekend.
Blewitt snapped his nose for the fifth time during Athletic’s 4-2 West Yorkshire Premier victory at Otley Town on Saturday.
“He’s got two black eyes and he’s struggling to open them both,” said manager Mark Forster.
“He’ll be out for a quite a while and that’s a big miss.”
Athletic hit top form in a rampant first half spell at Otley as Mark Waterhouse, Sam Kellagher and Jed Vale put them three up.
Errors either side of half time brought Otley into it, before Charlie Yates coolly secured three points.
Tenth-placed Athletic have won three of four matches away from home this season.
“That’s not what you would expect from an inexperienced, young side. We have gone away and played some excellent football,” added Forster.
Athletic have signed former Harrogate Railway player Tom Heskett and York City youngster Danny Coates ahead of second-placed Leeds City’s visit on Saturday.
The gaffer said his side had nothing to fear
“We weren’t scared against Bardsey and we won’t be worried about Leeds,” he added.
“Nobody expects us to get points against the top sides so it allows to us to play with freedom.”
