Boroughbridge boss Daz Ekin is backing his injury-ravaged squad to respond from their cup exit at rivals Ripon City.
‘Bridge face high-flying Beeston St Anthony’s away on Saturday (kick-off 2.30pm) a week after their 2-0 defeat to City.
The Blues’ performance at Mallorie Park encouraged the gaffer who said there was little between the two sides.
But Ekin left Ripon disappointed that his forwards failed to convert the chances they created.
He said: “Goalscoring has not been a problem this year. But we lacked that clinical edge.
“On another day Paul Eagling would have scored two. But the chances didn’t go in.”
Mark Burniston pulled up with a recurring hamstring injury after 30 minutes and Ekin fears the defender could be out for two weeks or more.
The manager expects a tough contest against second-placed Beeston and he said he will be digging into the club’s reserves again.
Ekin said: “We will patch up the team and we will see where we are.
“Last time we played them we had a strong team out but I don’t have those options this time around.”
