There were plenty of prizes for Ripon Runners at the recent Burton Leonard 10k.
There were cool conditions on the course but rain during the previous days had made the multi-terrain course muddy and slippery in places.
Ripon’s Mike Appleton claimed the prize for fourth place, and together with ninth-placed Simon Cave and 11th-placed Derek McCreadie Ripon earned the male team prize.
Simon Cave also received the prize for first local man with Gary Wilks second in the same category.
Becky Turner retained her titile as first local lady and Chris Brown was second O60 male.

Andy Bishop had hot-footed it to Burton Leonard for the afternoon’s race having already completed the Great North 10k at Gateshead in the morning.
He had completed the course in 51.52 along with Annette Stainthorp who finished in 1.25.13.
Harrogate Harriers hosted their annual Harrogate Town 10k on Sunday.
Hot conditions greeted the runners for the undulating road race. First home for Ripon was Joe Lofthouse in a time of 41.04.
