A guitarist described by Johnny Cash as "the best in the business" is set to mesmerise Ripon when he plays for talented country singer Eve Selis on Sunday.
'Cactus' Bill Soldi, was Cash's lead guitarist for six years and is now a key member of Californian star Eve Selis's band, which is playing at Hugh Ripley Hall as part of the singer-songwriter's first full UK tour.

Selis combines country, R&B, blues, folk, and rock 'n roll and has shared stages across the world with the likes of Jack Johnson, Counting Crows, Crosby, Stills & Nash and UB40.

A performance on her last UK visit was described by Radio Two DJ Bob Harris as "one of the best shows I've ever seen". Selis and her band come to Ripon fresh from a performance on the Bob Harris show this week.

Tickets cost £12 and can be ordered in advance from www.dmblivemusic.co.uk or by calling David Moss-Blundell on 01765 609764 or 07739 720732
