THE children at Fountains Playgroup and Preschool in Grantley have had a lesson in recycling.
They were visted by by kerbside recycling vehicle and came to school with arms full of newspapers, magazines, tin foil trays, and glass jars ready to recycle.

Playleader, Dawn Rogers said: “It was a great learning experience for the children to know what can be recycled via the kerbside box and bag and the children learnt a lot.

“I have had a number of parents telling me that their child has stopped them putting recyclable materials in the bin and told them to recycle.”

The visit was arranged by Alex Rankin, Harrogate Council’s recycling officer and parent of two youngsters at Fountains.

“We are very grateful that we have a parent who sorted this visit out and a big thank you to the driver and his crew for taking the time to visit our preschool,” said Dawn.
