A COMMUNITY-minded car dealership in Ripon is helping to ensure a strong police presence is provided in neighbouring villages for the third year running.
For the past two years, Batchelors of Ripon, on Dallamires Lane, has lent PCSO Sharon Wilson, of Ripon police, a car to enable her to get out to rural communities for foot patrols, school visits and attend meetings and appointments.

Because of the continuing success of the scheme, the dealership has provided PCSO Wilson with the free use of yet another brand new vehicle – a Suzuki Alto – to replace the Suzuki Swift that she has been using for the past year.
