Post-production work on Sienna Sky’s new single Hypnotised was carried out at the world-renowned Abbey Road studios by the UK’s leading mastering engineer, Geoff Pesche, who has helped create albums and singles by international artists such as Coldplay and Basement Jaxx and engineered the best-selling 12” record of all time, New Order’s Blue Monday.Sienna was born at Harrogate General Infirmary Hospital and went to New Park Primary School as a young girl. Her father was in the mounted police based at Starbeck before her family moved to Northallerton. After learning to play the trumpet and starting to write songs as a youngster at Joseph Rowntree School in York, the talented musician became a dancer after leaving school. But it was her love of dance music which prompted her change of direction.Sienna said: The lyrics and the tempo of ‘Hypnotised’ are a real reflection of how dance has changed my life. "Not only has it been my passion since I was a little girl, but it’s also a wonderful occupation, a great way to keep fit and a brilliant opportunity to make new friends.

"Now the whole thing has snowballed and the new song is taking my life in a completely new direction."I still visit Harrogate very frequently as we have so many close family friends there."In terms of the single, Sienna has brought an unusually wide range of elements together for what is essentially a dance record.Sienna said: “The challenge with ‘Hypnotised’ was to produce a track which would best highlight a very catchy pop song, but one which would make people want to dance. "We chose a tempo (126 bpm) commonly used by producers of electronic dance music, but resisted overloading it with heavy synthesised sounds and technology. "I wanted a fresh sounding track, so I added acoustic and electric guitars which wouldn’t usually feature in electronic dance music. "Sienna Sky’s single is available on iTunes now.
