Two people were injured following a road traffic accident at Kirby Hill.

The crash happened at 2.15pm on Sunday, October 21 at the junction of Church Lane and Boroughbridge Road, Kirby Hill.

A grey Vauxhall Corsa, driven by an 82-year-old man from Easingwold, collided with a silver Land Rover Discovery, driven by a 35-year-old woman from Dishforth.

The 82-year-old man was taken to York District Hospital where he remains in a stable condition. The driver of the Land Rover was taken to Harrogate District Hospital where she was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

She has since been released.

North Yorkshire Police’s road policing group traffic constable, Steve Wood, said: “If you witnessed the collision or saw either of the vehicles just prior to the incident please contact the police as soon as possible.”
