Two schoolboys from Sharow Primary School have raised more than £100 for charity.

Ben Watson and Max Gell, both aged nine, decided to raise money for Save the Children’s Born to Shine campaign by tackling a sponsored run.

The run, over the seven bridges at Studley made £140 for the charity.

Chairwoman of the Ripon Branch of Save the Children said: “It was so heart warming to see the youngsters getting involved and raising money for such a worth while cause.

“The boys should be very proud of themselves.”
