Volunteers celebrate
The Northallerton Committee of Yorkshire Cancer Research are celebrating a record breaking month having raised £2,000 from the proceeds of their shop.
Sally Crerar, Head of Community Fundraising at Yorkshire Cancer Research, said: “We really appreciate all the hard work the committee members have put into increasing the amount of money raised for the charity and the support we have received from the people of Northallerton has been fantastic.”
The committee is now looking at increasing their income even further by opening on Thursdays.
The store on Romanby Road in Northallerton is currently open Monday to Wednesday and Friday and Saturday.
To help make this happen the committee is asking for any volunteers who could give their time between 10am and 4pm to come forward.
