Valuable jewellery stolen in double burglary

Jewellery has been stolen from two houses on Whitcliffe Lane, Ripon, after burglars forced open a rear door and window.

The valuables were snatched on Saturday, February 23.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.

Police are also reminding householders to check their doors and windows are secured with suitable locks, even when people are in the house.

A police spokesman told the Gazette: “Valuables should be stored out of sight, photographed and registered on www.immobilise.com.”
