Ripon’s annual Save the Children Nearly New Sale launches today.
The sale, held at the Hugh Ripley Hall, is due to open today, Wednesday, February 15, at 10.30am.
The hall will be open from 3.30-4.30pm for disabled visitors only.
It will be open on Thursday, February 16 from 10.30am-7pm and Friday, February 17 from 10.30am-4pm.
The final day is Saturday, February 18 when the sale will run from 10am-noon.
Last year’s sale raised over £10,000 by Royal appointment. The charity’s president – the Princess Royal, Princess Anne – visited volunteers before the grand opening, her first visit to the popular sale in 24 years.
Her Royal Highness spent around an hour meeting the various volunteer stallholders selling everything from books to clothes and bric-a-brac
A letter was later sent by Princess Anne’s Lady-in-Waiting to thank everyone involved for making the event one of the charity’s most popular events in the North of England.
