children at Northallerton’s Broomfield School have said farewell to a much-loved midday supervisory assistant.
Linda Maclean has helped care for hundreds of children at Northallerton’s Broomfield School during almost 18 years’ service.
A farewell assembly was held with children and staff presenting her with books of pictures and farewell messages.
“I’m sad because I’m leaving these wonderful children and colleagues, but I’m happy because I’m going to be looking after my first grandchild,” Mrs Maclean said. “You would not believe the amount of tears I’ve shed today. It’s been the most amazing school to work for.”
Broomfield School Headteacher Susan Gill said: “Linda will be very hard to replace she’s a really valuable member of staff. She has contributed so much.”
