Queen Mary’s School raises funds for Macmillan Cancer Support

Pupils, parents and staff at Queen Mary’s School, Topcliffe, have raised £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Research.

Over the last few months the school has raised funds by hosting events including a golf day and parents’ coffee morning and collecting money at school drama and music events.

Sally Millington, fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Research, visited the school on Monday, October 8, to receive the cheque presented by Libery Tuley and Marianne Hunter.

Miss Millington spoke to the girls about the amazing work the charity does to help people suffering with cancer and how the money they raised will help to support these people.
