Get set for popular Woofs and Wellies charity walk

Registration for a popular family sponsored dog walk is still open for under 16s and their four-legged friends to sign up for free.

Anyone under the age of 16 can enter Woofs and Wellies, in aid of Saint Michael’s Hospice without paying a registration fee until Tuesday.

Woofs and Wellies, which includes a 2.5km and a 5km route, takes place on Sunday, March 4.

It will be the first time that dogs have been permitted to Stockeld Park in Wetherby.

The event will raise money for Saint Michael’s, the Harrogate-based charity that provides specialist care and support for people across the district living with terminal illness and bereavement.

Registration for adults is £6 and after January 31 it will cost £4 for under 16s. Youngsters must be accompanied by an adult for the walk.
