Charities benefit from office

The former Chairwoman of Richmondshire District Council has handed over a large sum to charity.
Councillor Jill McMullon, raised more than £1685.14 for her chosen charities during her term in office.
Throughout her 12 months in the post Coun McMullon held a number of events to raise money.
ONE of the events was a civic dinner which helped raise money for BLESMA British Limbless Ex-Service Men’s Association, Homes For Heroes and The Georgian Theatre Royal.
“I was pleased to be able to use my Chairman’s year to raise money for charities that have special significance to me and which benefit local people”, she said.
