Car showroom at Spacey Houses approved
A CONTROVERSIAL application for a car showroom at the Spacey Houses site in Pannal has been approved.
Harrogate Council's district development sub-committee opposed the planning officer's recommendation in voting to approve the proposals from Pendragon PLC yesterday evening.
The move will see the developer deonate 50,000 to community groups in Pannal.
Pat Fitzgerald from Pannal Memorial Institute said: "We're absolutely delighted.
"This is going to open up a lot of opportunities at the village hall and allow us to make some major improvements.
"We would like to give our thanks to everybody that expressed support for it."
