Church Services: Sunday, August 15 9.30am Eucharist Service. Sunday, August 22. Please note that there is no Evensong this Sunday. Please see the Link for details of services elsewhere in the Benefice. Monday, August 23. 7.30pm Confirmation Service and Eucharist. The Bishop will be taking this service and everyone is welcome. There will be refreshments afterwards.
Cake Stall: On Wednesday, August 25, there will be the annual cake and produce stall in Knaresborough market to raise funds for the church. Donations of cakes, biscuits, pies, garden produce, jams and pickles (and anything else) will be gratefully received. The following people are acting as pick-up points but they will all be happy to collect your baking if you are unable to deliver it to their homes: Eileen (tel 340531), Margaret (340493) and Sarah (340515). If you are unable to bake please do support the stall; we hope to be sold out by noon with your help.
Allerton Quarry Incinerator: Please do contact your parish councilors urgently with your views about the proposed development so that in any future discussions they can reflect what the majority of the village feels about this very pressing matter. Leaflets will soon be coming round the village but, in the meantime, there is plenty of information on our Arkendale website with links to many informative sites: http://www.arkendale.org.uk/
