Appeal after college break-in
POLICE are appealing for information after a break-in at Northallerton College.
It occurred at the campus on Grammar School Lane in the early hours of Wednesday, January 25, when burglars broke into the premises.
They gained access to the building by smashing a window. Once inside the intruders attempted to force their way into a number of offices and a vending machine. However, they left before managing to steal anything.
PC Doug Miller, of Northallerton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Although no-one witnessed the break-in I believe that the offenders will be of slim builds as the point of entry is only small.
“I would like to speak to anyone with information about this burglary and ask that they contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.”
Anyone who can help the police with their enquiries can contact Northallerton police by telephoning 101, pressing option 2, and asking for Doug Miller.
Alternatively, they can telephone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference number 12120012689.
