Ripon looks set for another jolly good show!

Some of the best produce from across the city will be on show at the annual Ripon Horticultural Show.

The show includes almost 50 classes, separate classes for vegetables, sections for cut flowers and pot-plants, handicrafts and baking.

The huge success of the BBC’s Great British Bake Off has seen the bakery entries increase significantly in recent years, while classes for the largest vegetables always generate a lot of interest and the records for the heaviest and longest varities will be under threat.

There will be home baked cakes, scones and beverages available throughout the afternoon. The show opens shortly after noon. Admission to the show in the Wakeman Bar at Ripon Racecourse is free.
